The Five Essentials

Students to be able to demonstrate good use of the five essentials when sailing their boat.

these are:

• Daggerboard
• Course made good
• Sail settings
• Trim
• Balance

as well as demonstrating these skills you must be able to explain why we need to do each of the five essentials to sail the boat as effectively as possible.
